Wen Cheng is a Berlin-based restaurant dedicated to celebrating the rich and diverse heritage of Chinese noodle cuisine. China has more than 100 varieties of noodles, many of which remain little known in the West, and Wen Cheng aims to change that. The Founders, Rui and Peng basically grew up surrounded by the clatter of chopsticks and the smell of stir fry in their family’s Chinese restaurant. That’s where their obsession with real-deal Chinese food kicked off.

Back in 2021, Rui and Peng teamed up with their buddy Valentin and kicked off Wen Cheng. The goal? Simple—make people actually care about real Chinese noodles, not just some bland knockoff. They wanted the place to feel fresh and modern but still stick to those roots. Turns out, people in Berlin ate it up—literally. Wen Cheng shot up the ranks and now everyone’s saying it’s one of the best noodle joints in the city.

In 2022, Wen Cheng received the Berliner Meisterköche award for Best Kiez Restaurant, acknowledging its excellence and commitment to bringing people together through food. The team continues to share its passion by offering an inspiring, delicious, and energetic noodle experience, proudly blending traditional culinary artistry with Berlin’s vibrant urban spirit.
