Perched high on the 14th floor of the InterContinental Berlin, Hugos combines breathtaking panoramic views with sophisticated fine dining. The elegant interior, soft lighting, and warm candlelight create an intimate, romantic atmosphere that makes every visit feel special.
As for its host, the hotel was originally built in 1958 by renowned architects William Pereira and Charles Luckman. The hotel reopened in 1978 as the InterContinental Berlin. With its distinctive chessboard façade, it remains today one of the most famous and internationally renowned hotels in Berlin.
Honestly, Hugos is basically Chef Eberhard Lange’s playground. The guy’s got this wild mix of precision and creativity, and if you’re into food that actually makes you pause mid-bite, this is the spot. His tasting menu? Yeah, it’s eight courses (or six if you’re not feeling super hungry), and it’s pretty much a masterclass in taking old-school favorites and flipping them on their head. Seasonal stuff, fancy techniques, little surprises on every plate – you get the idea. It’s like Berlin’s current food scene served up on a silver platter.
