Volksbad: A Pop-Up Swimming Pool at the Volksbühne

For eight weeks, a temporary swimming pool called the Volksbad will be set up in front of the Volksbühne on Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. It’s a playful summer intervention that places a public pool against the backdrop of one of Berlin’s most iconic cultural venues. The pairing is deliberately theatrical: swimming in the shadow of a landmark theatre turns an ordinary cool-off into something a little more memorable.
